Fridays
Boracay is a AAA accredited, self contained 40 native cottage-style
rooms resort. It has a freshwater swimming pool, a beachfront bar, and
a 120-seat capacity restaurant considered by many to be the finest in
the island.
The rooms are in
a garden setting arranged around a beach courtyard and the swimming
pool. All rooms are distinctly native with Filipino styling –
quaint yet with modern conveniences like split-type airconditioning,
hot & cold potable water, DVDs, cable TV, IDD & NDD telephone,
fully stocked mini bar, deluxe guestroom amenities, abaca slippers,
evening turn-down services, native hammocks, individual Electronic Safety
Deposit Box, and private verandah.
The
resort carries a general tropical native theme in its rooms and facilities,
with extensive use of native materials for construction and décor.
It was 1982 when the first two cottages of Fridays Boracay were built.
The name “Fridays” came from the story of Robinson Crusoe.
Robinson was shipwrecked on a lost island and was surprised to meet
a native young boy whom he named Fridays after becoming his constant
companion.
There
are 18 Premier Rooms which come with king size bed, either one or two
single day or massage beds, large screen (27-inch) television, bathrobes,
welcome fruit basket, and complimentary tea & coffee service. On
the other hand, there are also 16 Deluxe Rooms equipped with one queen
size bed and one single bed.
In
addition to the 34 native cottage styled rooms are six new rooms called
Premier Suites. Located up the stairs from the swimming pool, these
luxurious, circular rooms with an area of 80 sqm have private verandah,
a very large bathroom with elegant bath tub and showers facing large
floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking lush tropical landscaping. These
rooms have the same original Fridays atmosphere and concept. From the
2nd floor, guests have splendid sea view overlooking the present rooms
at Fridays. The rooms at the 2nd floor have a cathedral ceiling which
makes it more elegant.
